PENILE IMPLANT

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

The penile implant is a prosthesis that aids in getting and maintaining an erection.The implant consists of 2 inflatable cylinders, a reservoir and a manual pump. It is made of medical grade silicone rubber.

PUMP

The manual pump inflates and deflates the cylinders and is implanted in the scrotum.

INFLATABLE CYLINDERS

The two inflatable cylinders (hollow implants) are implanted in the penis.

RESERVOIR

The reservoir is filled with saline solution and is implanted in the pelvis.

AII standard lengths of penile implant and accessories are available in one box from 12cm to 24cm and more with extensions.

HYDROPHILIC COATING

ZSI penile implants are coated with PVP. PVP is a hydrophilic coating which will absorb the antibiotic the surgeon chooses to use to attach the implant. The surgeon will choose an antibiotic based on local conditions of bacterial resistance.

SPECIAL FEATURES

ANATOMY

The ZSI 475 Penile Implant is a three component inflatable system that is implanted in the human body. It reproduces the natural erectile activity of the penis to treat erectile dysfunction.
The implant consists of:

Two artiﬁcial cavernosum cylinders.
A reservoir.
A pump.

The two cylinders are implanted in the two corpus cavernosum passageways of the penis. The reservoir is ﬁlled with normal saline solution and is implanted in the pelvic area, next to the bladder. The pump is implanted in the scrotum. All three components of the implant are connected through a tube system (see picture).

3 LAYERS FOR STRONGER RESISTANCE TO PRESSURE LOW RISK OF BULKING

If the cylinders are not constructed in 3 layers, there is a higher risk that the layer may expand during inﬂation of the cylinders, due to tunical weakening.

PENIS SIZE: SURVEY OF FEMALE SEXUAL SATISFACTION

A large majority, 45 woman out of 50 reported that penis width was the most important factor.

BENEFITS OF 3-LAYER CYLINDER

WHY A RESERVOIR?

Only inflatable penile implants with reservoirs allow for both a comfortable resting position and a ﬁrm erection when inﬂated. The reservoir can store enough saline solution to deﬂate/inﬂate the cylinders.

The two-part penile implant (without reservoir) does not allow for proper deﬂation or inﬂation because the saline solution is always stored in the cylinders and does not allow for a full/strong erection or a empty/ﬂaccid position.

ZSI 475 WITH 100% BIOCOMPATIBLE SILICONE

FEEL THE DIFFERENCE

Take hold of the ZSI 475 cylinders and squeeze them. They don’t make a sound. You’re holding a 100% biocompatible silicone device.

FEEL THE DIFFERENCE

Take a sample from another implant. If it makes an unpleasant, plastic-sounding noise you are not holding a 100% silicone device. It may make similar noises in your penis, when in a deflated position.

SAFE IN MRI AND AIRPORT SCANNERS

You can travel with your ZSI 475. It cannot be detected by airport scanners.
The ZSI 475 is also safe in medical scanners.
